Living, But Not Living by Marcel Moses

Being alive does not feel like an option,
Even though your seen.
Trying to be heard, but everyone seems distracted,
It all feels like a dream.

It feels like darkness surroundings,
With no glance of light.
Your here, Your there your crying,
Your seen but out of sight.

Hard feelings starts to build up in your soul,
You just like ending it all,
Your finished, Its time to take your fall,
Its over, Your letting go.

Deja Vu by Gregory Barnes

I look at the grass,
and I remember
the memories
from the past.

I had dreams
of being on
the dream team.

I used to
look outside
and all I saw
with a triple beam.

Now that I've
found the new.
I look outside
and remember
pretty girls playing
Jimmy Two Shoes.

WHAT CAN YOU ASK OF YOURSELF? aka NJASK SWAG BY MR. ONYEANI

With a sharp number 2 pencil..
you bubble in the glory of lessons learned.
keeping your focus steady is hard,
yet you stay sharp.

Turn each page not with fright
instead anticipate your goal.
you're ready..your knowledge
is your strength.

your teachers are coaches
for your super bowl of academics
its there within you and they see it.
They want you to notice your destiny.

Your swag is measured not by clothing,
but by your intellect.
Keep on..keeping on..
You are the future..

Tears for Haiti

Tears for Haiti
By Mr. Onyeani
I cry for Haiti not with tears of joy
I cry because of that little girl or boy
Who has no future or so it seems
Because an earthquake destroyed their dreams.

I have tears for Haiti with salt
That tears at my wounds. I have
Tears for Haiti that make me
Cry in a room.

I question why the world ignores them?
I question why there’s still no food?
No shelter..no money..no government
I question why it happens in 2011.

These tears will not fall in vain
With these words please feel their pain
The people of Haiti still need our help
These tears for Haiti is my cry..Please Help.
